Schedule:
The Publications Office is staffed on a part-time basis during regular business
hours of the GSA & OGB (8 to 12 and 1 to 5 Monday through Friday). Telephone
messages and e-mail messages are checked regularly. Visitors to the Publications
Office may call or e-mail prior to their visit to check availability times for
staff assistance (205-247-3636 or
publications@gsa.alabama.gov).
Maps and Publications:
All transactions are handled with checks or money orders only—no cash or credit
cards. Orders must be pre-paid, including postage, before items will be shipped.
Walk-in visitors should be prepared to pay for purchases with a money order or
personal check.
Postage Rates: The postage rate schedule is included on the
Publications Order Form. Postage should be included with payment for items
ordered. To confirm the correct order amount, you may call or e-mail our

Location: The Publications Office is located on the 1st floor,
Room 103, of the Geological Survey of Alabama and State Oil and Gas Board,
building (Walter B. Jones Hall) at 420 Hackberry Lane on the campus of the
University of Alabama.
Visitor Parking and Parking Permits: Two 30-minute visitor
spaces are designated in the parking lot behind the GSA/OGB building (Walter B.
Jones Hall). Visitor hang tags are available in the Publications Office ($3.00,
check or money order) that will allow parking in spaces other than the
designated time-limit visitor spaces; however, nearby parking spaces are
difficult to find during regular University of Alabama semesters.
Visitors to GSA/OGB may find it more convenient to park in the nearby Campus
Drive parking deck (
http://tour.ua.edu). At the
parking deck, $5.00 ($5 or $1 bills) is due upon entry with no need for a hang
tag and no time limit. Upon payment at the deck entrance, a receipt will print
which should be displayed on the vehicle dash. For more information regarding
