Groundwater level records

Periodic Monitoring wells

The GAP monitors groundwater levels in 372 water wells and discharge for 37 springs throughout the state. The wells are both publicly and privately owned and have a variety of purposes including unused, public, industrial, private water supply, and stock and irrigation. Some of the records in this program are more than 20 years old and reflect the changing climatic conditions and water use patterns in the state.

First, click on a county, then click on the red well symbols on the county map to link to a hydrograph for the selected well. Clicking on yellow well and spring symbols will link to a summary of pertinent data for each well or spring including the all-time high and low water levels and measured water levels for the past several years.
